Meet Anna
The Founder, Lady Zion
I'm Anna E. Lawrence. My journey began in Vallejo, California, where I was fortunate to be raised by creative parents who instilled in me a love for exploration and self-expression. From a young age, I was drawn to spending time with elders, soaking up their wisdom and warmth.
Despite my nurturing upbringing, life threw its share of challenges my way. I often found myself questioning why unfair treatment seemed to follow me. Yet, amidst the turmoil, I discovered solace in creativity—whether it was crafting, cooking, or penning poetry. And my innate desire to care for others became my refuge, a way to shield my easygoing nature from the storms brewing around me.
At fifteen, a pivotal moment occurred when I had a vision of Jesus Christ. It marked the beginning of a spiritual journey that would shape my outlook on life and guide my path forward. Though I faced setbacks in pursuing my dreams, particularly in the music industry, I remained steadfast in my faith and commitment to serving others.
Academically, I pursued my passion for media production, digital film, and post-production, earning a Bachelor's of Fine Arts degree. Along the way, I earned recognition on the Dean's List and served as Vice President of the Student Government. Outside the classroom, I've produced eight independent films and garnered certifications in Assisted Health and Ministry.
Yet, my proudest achievements extend beyond accolades and certificates. I've dedicated myself to various community involvement ventures, driven by a deep-seated belief that beauty can arise from life's most challenging moments. This belief is encapsulated in my motto, "Beauty for Ashes," symbolizing resilience and transformation.
Join me as I continue to uplift and inspire others with my creativity, compassion, and unwavering faith. Together, let's embrace the journey of turning life's ashes into something beautiful.
